Audience classification

Standard Occupational Classification

Standard occupational classification is the hierarchy of jobs in a particular work place. They use a system to categorize social classes. This all goes on Job type. This allows companies to advertise depending on their target social class.
An example of this is are Mercedes adverts that are aimed up the upper class or anyone who has an average household income of around £60,000.  Where as advertisements for the lottery are aimed at the working class. The lottery adverts are also shown in between soaps and reality television.
