Regulation

ASA
Asa stands for advertising standards authority. ASA is an independent company. They make sure that everything that is being advertised is in its legal limits and there is nothing that can offend someone that is seeing it. They Judge all of the advertisements in the United Kingdom by using the United Kingdom advertisement codes.
They look at things like Cinema ad's , posters , DVD's , magazines and so much more. If someone has a complaint they have a phone number in which a person can call.  They also have an easily accessible website that people can go on and have a look. (The website is asa.org.uk)

An example of some work they did is, in 2014 Paddy Power plc was banned due to offering incentives to beaten the outcome of Oscar Pistorius's murder trial. This was on the terms of it made his trail seems insignificant and that it was all a set up.

OFCOM
OFCOM stands for The Office Of Communications. They are a authority that is based in the United Kingdom. They deal with all the issues within communication services , for example insurance claims. They do this by following a wide range of acts that are set down by the parliament. They also deal with a wide range of stuff in fields such as radio, models , television , postal services and airwaves.

An example of some work that OFCOM did is that the BBC got fined £400,000 in 2008. This was due to shows such as sports relief , comic relief etc production staff posing or making up fake winnings of competitors.
